静岡市は、2005年4月、全国14番目の政令指定都市として、新しい歴史の第一歩を踏み出し、政令指定都市にふさわしい風格のあるまちづくりに取り組んでおります。
そのなかで、地域間競争に強く、時代の要請に応えられる、都市機能や産業集積を最大限に活かした産業振興は重要な課題です。
情報や知識が大きな価値を生み出す「知恵の時代」を迎え、国においては、2004年にコンテンツ振興法（コンテンツの創造、保護及び活用の促進に関する法律）を制定し、コンテンツ・ビジネス振興を国家戦略として推進しています。静岡市においても、新産業の創出として、コンテンツを産業として立ち上げるために、人材育成や関連産業の集積が大切だと認識しております。静岡発のコンテンツ産業の創造に向け、市といたしましても、産学官の連携のもと、積極的に支援をしてまいりたいと思います。
世界に通じる一流コンテンツによる「しずおかコンテンツバレーフェスティバル」の開催にあたり、厳しい経済状況の中、ご支援をいただいた多くの企業の皆様、ご尽力いただきました「しずおかコンテンツバレー推進コンソーシアム」の皆様、またフェア期間中にお手伝いいただくボランティアの皆様に心から感謝いたします。
In April 2005, Shizuoka City became the 14th city designated by government ordinance in the nation, and took the first step of its new history. Since then, Shizuoka City has been trying to make more progress in developing the city to reflect its status as a government ordinance city. Under these circumstances, industrial promotion, which has strong regional competitiveness, responds to the requests of our era, and makes the most out of city functions and industrial accumulation, is an important task.
The age of intelligence has come, where information and knowledge produce great value. As a result the nation established the law concerning “the promotion of creation, protection and application of contents”, and it has started content business promotion as a national strategy. Even in Shizuoka, I recognize that to start up the content industry, it is important to foster talents and to accumulate a content related industry.As a city, we positively support the creation of the content industry from Shizuoka under the affiliation of the industry-academia-government collaboration called “SanGakuKan”.In this severe economic situation, in order to hold the “Shizuoka Contents Valley Festival”, which introduces the leading content, that have been accepted throughout the world, there are so many organizations and people are who have cooperated to make this event happen. I would like to deeply thank all the organizations and the staff of the Shizuoka Contents Valley Consortium (SCV), and the volunteers who are supporting and helping during the event.
